NU Facilities


Naresuan University offers modern facilities that cater to the academic, social, and physical needs of its students and faculty members. These facilities make Naresuan University an ideal learning environment for students seeking a quality education. Here's a rundown of some of the facilities offered at Naresuan University:


    Libraries - The university has three libraries, the central library, the faculty of science library, and the faculty of medicine library. These libraries have a wide range of academic resources, including textbooks, journals, and e-books.

    Laboratories - Naresuan University has lots of laboratories equipped with modern facilities for research and experiments. These labs cater to various fields of study, including science, engineering, medicine, and agriculture.


    Sports facilities - The university has an Olympic-sized swimming pool, basketball courts, football fields, and tennis courts. The sports facilities are open to students and staff for recreation and physical activity.

2. Naresuan University Fitness Gym 

Location: 1st Floor, the indoor sport building 

Service Hour: Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. 

Charge: Free of Charge (Please present your student ID each time you get services.)



3. Swimming Pool 

Free of Charge for NU student and staff. This costs 50 baht/time for Non-NU member.

Service Hour: Mon-Fri 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.

*Remark: 

1. Please wear a swimming suit with cap and show your COVID test which is not over 5 days (ATK acceptable).

2. Please show your student card every time you receive the service.


    Student dormitories - Naresuan University has several student dormitories that provide comfortable and safe living spaces for students. The dormitories are equipped with facilities such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and 24-hour security. The University Dormitory (NU Dorm) has also reading rooms, pharmaceutical service, household services, ambulance service, and common rooms.




    Health services - Medical care is offered to NU students at Naresuan University Hospital. Just next to Gate 2 of the university is where the hospital is situated. The treatments are provided free of charge to students who submit their student ID to the medical officer. Prior to registering, international students must pay the required fees and join the NU medical plan. Scholarship recipients' insurance policies cover their health costs.

All university students and residents in this region have access to IPD and OPD health services. With 362 beds for IPD, 40 beds for acute care, and 70 additional beds, the facility can accommodate 472 patients. Seven excellence centers exist within our organization: the Heart Center, Hematology Research Center, Cancer Center, Corneal Transplant Center, Renal Center, Infertility Center, Naresuan Cleft and Craniofacial Center.


NU Dental Clinic 

Location: Dental Hospital, the Faculty of Dentistry 

Service Hour: Monday - Friday 08:30 a.m. - 08:00 p.m.

Saturday - Sunday 09:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Closed on a national holiday.




    Cafeterias - Naresuan University has several cafeterias that offer a variety of food options at affordable prices. The food served is nutritious and caters to various dietary needs. For students at Naresuan University, the primary canteens are NU Canteen and NU Square. In NU Square, there is a normal kitchen as well as a Halal kitchen for Muslim food. Also, there are canteens for several faculties.


    Lecture halls and classrooms - The university has well-equipped lecture halls and classrooms that facilitate effective learning. The classrooms are equipped with multimedia equipment and Wi-Fi, making it easy for students and faculty to access academic resources.


    Transportation 

1. On Campus 

 Free electric bus on campus: providing daily services for students. Color codes are used for different routes: the red route and the yellow route.

Red route Service Hour: 07:40 a.m. - 06:25 p.m. From NU Dormitory, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources & Environment, CITCOMS Building, Praptraichak Building, Faculty of Humanities, NU Hospital, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, QS Building, NUIC, Faculty of Science (Mathematics), and back to NU Dormitory.

 

Yellow route Service Hour: 07:30 a.m. - 06:30 p.m. From NU Dormitory, Faculty of Science (Chemistry), Ekatosarot Building, QS Building, NUIC, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, NU Hospital, Gate 6, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of BEC, CITCOMS Building, Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources & Environment, Faculty of Engineering, and back to NU Dormitory.

Free bikes: this service is available besides NU dorm. You are required to show your student ID card to the staff in order to take a bicycle out for a ride around the campus.

2. Go Downtown 

How to Go Downtown 

- Mini bus (purple songthaew): There are mini buses (route No.12) to Phitsanulok City Centre daily from 06:30 a.m. - 08:30 p.m. (Fare: 25-30 baht). The minibus station is located near NU dormitory. There are two lines as follows:

• Blue line: Buses leave for Train station, old bus terminal (Terminal 1) and new bus terminal (Terminal 2).

• Red line: Buses leave for Central Plaza (shopping store), Wat - Yai temple, old bus terminal (Terminal 1) and new bus terminal (Terminal 2).

- Taxi: Phitsanulok taxi prices start with a fixed meter of 40 baht for the first two kilometers and incrementing by 10 baht per kilometer. You can call a taxi at 055-338888 (Phitsanulok Taxi), and 055-222222 (Kingdom Tour Taxi).


Others: 

There are four banks in the campus which offer financial services:

at NU Dormitory - Kasikorn Bank and Krung Thai Bank 

at Naresuan University Hospital - Bangkok Bank

at Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences - Krungsri Bank 

The 24 hours convenience stores are also located around the university; NU Dormitory, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Medical Science as well as Faculty of Business, Economics and Communications.
